Daffodils

It’s been the most glorious spring day here today.  So – naturally – I went in search of daffodils.  Of course, you only have to step out of the door to find daffodils…

…but I wanted masses of them – Wordsworthian swathes of them.  And I found them at East Riddlesden Hall.

…fluttering and dancing in the breeze’.

Spring Has Sprung!

Spring has sprung

The spring equinox.  A day of perfect balance.  Light and darkness in equal measure.

Tomorrow we tip into increasing light.

O happy spring!

Monday Meditation (7)

Meditation 7

‘The miracle is not to walk on water.  The miracle is

to walk on the green earth, dwelling deeply in the

present moment and feeling truly alive.’

In Celebration of Mothering

Mother's Day

Standing on the station platform, swinging a bag of pretty flowers for my lovely mum.

It’s Mothering Sunday here in the UK. So a happy Mother’s Day to everyone who mothers or ever has mothered in any possible way!

The Wisdom of the Chrysanthemum Flower

The Chrysanthemum

(Found in a vase in a deserted room)

I’m going to stretch my petals wide.
I’m going to bloom for all I’m worth.
I’m going to reflect the sun’s light and be beautiful.

I’m going to do it because it’s what I was created to do.
I’m going to do it because it’s what I do best.
I’m going to do it for the sheer joy of blooming.

I’m going to do it whether you notice me or not.
