Moving Day
Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 10:04 PM
Today I officially moved into the new studio. Or rather, my stuff did.
Have I mentioned that I have a lot of crafting clobber? I mean, A LOT?
However, Gavin, Jason and Ian of Britannia Willis did a heroic job; and, though it was a long day, it all went pretty smoothly (thank you, lads!).
Joss and Nettie were seriously worried by the whole process. They clearly suspected another transatlantic expedition was in the offing. At one point, Nettie even tried to stow away in the removal van, determined not to be left behind.
But my favourite bit of the day was turning up to my remote studio, pretty much in the middle of nowhere, and finding two shiny 2 pence pieces lying close to the front door (how did they get there?). If it's lucky to find a penny, surely 4 pence means four times the luck?
I'm believing it to be so.

Four times the luck is a great way to start a new venture :~)
I was holding off asking how your studio was coming along....but dying to know! A 'LOT of crafting clobber' sounds perfect and I am so looking forward to seeing more as you settle in and create in your beautiful studio space.....and there is the piano...sigh :~)
Wonderful week-end wishes to you.

delighted to hear the move to your studio has begun. Hope you will enjoy many happy days in your new workshop
Hooray... Tremendously exciting, Helen! Do share photos, when you can... A penny found is often good luck, yes?! Hope it will be for you. :o) Happy Days ((HUGS))
This is VERY exciting news. Please post pics when you are settled. I can't wait to see it in person.
This is so exciting!! I can't wait to see pictures!
Congratulations on the move into your new studio, I love following the journey and I still can't believe how fortuitously you found the place. Those pennies by the door have got to be a good omen. xo
A belated Congrats on moving to your studio!
I also notice a new look to your blog site! It's moved to Wordpress I noticed. Bravo!
I am picturing myself in a cozy chair in the corner of your studio. I have a throw draped over my lap, a warm cup of tea in hand, and a gentle smile on my face as I listen to you play a slightly melancholy tune on your piano...
So excited for you and your new space!
