Dancing In The Rain
It’s THAT time of year again. The time when the heather blossoms and the moors decide to party.
Heather’s tough stuff – and not for nothing. This year the tiny flowers are doggedly flaunting their beauty despite driving rain, wildly fluctuating temperatures and the deepest of dreary grey gloom. I snatched the picture above in a rare moment of sunshine. Within hours I was back to wearing my chunkiest winter gloves and returning home like the proverbial drowned rat.
Doesn’t matter. If the heather can hack it, so can I. When the outlook’s bleak…well, that’s precisely the time you need to party. So I’m pulling on my raincoat, brushing off my wellies….and dancing in the rain.

LOVE these blooms, Helen! I like heather very much... We have some mountains & moor-like land in mid-country here, late summer is so lovely with the heather in bloom. We've not been back in a while... hhhmmm...weekend trip, perhaps? ;o) Happy Day ((HUGS))
