Treasure From The Souks

Moroccan Spoons

Every morning at Peacock Pavilions, these dainty spoons would appear on the breakfast table.  Nestled in pots of jam and honey, resting in bowls of salt, lying beside mugs of coffee.

I tracked some down in the souks and brought three of the tiny treasures home for you.  If you’d like their cheery stripes to brighten your own breakfast table, just leave a comment below.  You’ve got until 9am (GMT) on Tuesday (28th).  I’ll choose a winner at random.

Hi Helen, wow , they are beautiful. Everything in morocco seems to have extraordinary colour. Another friend is also just back from there and her photos have such amazing colour. Look forward to seeing more of the images you shot there :)

Hi there Helen - Found your site through Heidi Swanson - When I spotted the spoons I was filled with joy as I am a collector. We do lots of gifting around our place with homemade preserves, jams and chutneys. We often include a spoon or spreader depending what we have on hand. Love your site and spent a lazy afternoon yesterday browsing around the wonderful snaps from Morocco;
such fantastic colours and designs. Will be back often.

Hi there, love these spoons! I'm headed to Marrakesh in May - what are the odds I can find them in the souk?

Hi Jennifer!

It took me a while to track down the spons but if you ask about you'll find them. Happy hunting - and have a fabulous time!
