My Favourite Ways To Celebrate Summer
- Make elderflower champagne
- Go barefoot
- Throw a tea party
- Pick bilberries
- Watch Wimbledon on the telly
- Swing in a hammock (this one is sort of theoretical ‘cause I’ve only ever swung in a hammock twice in my entire life!)
- Have a picnic
- Lie in the grass, listening to the drone of lazy aeroplanes overhead
- Put up summer bunting
- Listen to Test Match Special on the radio (we’re talking cricket)
- Go to an outdoor concert
- Eat bowl after bowl of apricots and cherries and nectarines and berries

GORGEOUS portrait of elderflowers, Helen... mmm... nothing like elderflower champagne or cordial in summer! Wish I wasn't so far--I'd love to share a cuppa with you. I'll be watching Wimbledon too (I was thrilled Rafael Nadal scored the French Open and look forward to seeing him press on to Wimbledon... though I shouldn't have favorites. ;o) We'll be listening to the Prom all summer, hubby & I both love this highlight of the classical music year. And currently eating so many strawberries it's a surprise I've not turned red yet! HAPPY SUMMER DAYS ((HUGS))
LOL! I almost included the Proms in the list. It's just that my favourite - of course - is the Last Night....and since that doesn't roll round until September or so, I always associate it with autumn rather than summer. But, yes, there'll be promming here all summer long, too... :)
