Ode To My Wellies

ode to my wellies

Wellies!  My wellies!

Oh how I love thee!

Without you, dear wellies,

Just where would I be?

You would be without a pair of watertight vases by the looks of things!

In Texas we save our cowboy boots that have worn out or gotten too small for use as centerpieces at casual parties. Not being as water tight as your Wellies, if we want to embellish them with flowers we whip out our handy dandy MASON JARS and put them inside to hold the flowers.

I can't help wondering what Wellington himself would think... lol

I keep meaning to get a pair - this ode makes me want to go out and get some now!

How pretty these wellies look. Maybe we should always wear flowers in our wellies. I am sure it would bring a smile to faces ... could be a bit uncomfortable though.

Ha! Never thought of using them as vases. Just thought they should have some flowers because I love them so much! And to thank them for serving me so well. :)
